It is a distinct pleasure to welcome you all to 2026 with the expansion of one of the Prospects Live Amateur Team’s landmark offerings, our ranking of the Top NCAA Players for the 2026 MLB Draft. This was far and away a team effort and featured the work of so many talented PLive staffers, including Jake Bargery, Nathan Carreiro, Josh Catlett, Will Dodge, Peyton Franks, Ethan Kagno, Adam Kiel, Jacob Maxwell, Perry Nadreau, Tyler Paddor, Joshua Salguero, JB Sebastiano, Mitch Stachnik, James Weisser, and Harris Yudin, alongside former evaluator Nate Rasmussen and myself, Director of Amateur Scouting Drew Wheeler, with the guidance of Matt Thompson and Rhys White.

Our list-making endeavor began in August 2025, with the team working fervently to write reports in the months since; in September 2025, our Top 50 NCAA Players for the 2026 Draft dropped, and what better way to expand upon that offering than by literally expanding it, doubling our number of players to the 100-strong list before you.

Much like our initial ranking, we hoped to rank players based on what is known – what these players have done and shown to portend into their prospective professional careers – rather than projecting the ‘pop-up’ surprises the 2026 season will deliver.

While our previous list’s introduction lauded the strong group of collegiate hitters atop the class, you will notice a strong contingency of NCAA arms featured herein, as well; one thing is certain, and it was also referenced in the introductory paragraphs of the prior list – the 2026 college class is, for our money, much stronger than 2025’s, and will be a fascinating group to follow as we trend closer to the start of the 2026 NCAA season.
