Bryce Cunningham, RHP NYY (AFL)

Bryce was right if you look at how many of his runs were earned (1) as opposed to how many were unearned (4). He did not collect many whiffs on the day, as he collected one whiff on the day. Cunningham is more of a hard contact suppression artist than a swing-and-miss starter, which does make him a slightly volatile starter in Yankee Stadium, especially if the 40% fly-ball rate somewhat sticks, or until he is traded for Paul Skenes by Yankee fans.

Sean Paul Liñan, RHP WSN (AFL)

It is not very encouraging when the velocity is down from what it was in the regular season. He was dipping into the high 80s in this one. It's been a long and weird season for Liñan, so I am going to give him a pass, but he needs to find some velocity in the worst way.

Seaver King, SS WSN (AFL)

4-for-5, 3 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI

A triple scoop of doubles here for Seaver King. He might be the test case for how much value there is in covering the AFL because it is such a bad hit tool. We had him as an honorable mention in our Nats list, but who knows, maybe being around some other coaching might unlock something here. It is a hot start for Seaver King, which is good to see because this keeps the dream alive for those of us who still like him.
