De León is going to be absolutely nasty out of the pen in about a year. If he isn't traded, because the way the Orioles are sounding, maybe just maybe they get aggressive with some trades to get some pitching. I heard that you, yes you, the reader, are being mulled about within the Orioles front office to get an invitation to spring training because they need a fresh arm. His fastball was up to 97 and the splitter fell off the table at as low as 83. The 14 mph delta between those two, plus his feel for a slider, could get some serious swings and misses and, more importantly, outs in the back-end of a bullpen.
Karson Milbrandt has been quite good in the AFL, and just in general, Karson Milbrandt has been awesome. Twenty-three punchouts in 13 innings in the AFL is nothing to sneeze at. I think Milbrandt has a chance to be a top 100 prospect by the midway point in the season. Milbrandt's upside is that of a mid-rotation, five-and-dive starter because his stuff is good, but the command at points comes and goes, and that leads to inefficient innings.
Adamczewski is going to be a fun one for other publications to break down, and as of our last update, he was a top 100 prospect. Right now, he projects out to be that for me personally. The Brewers just keep unloading more and more interesting prospects, and Adamczewski's elite bat-to-ball skills give him a high floor. It would be nice if he hit the ball harder and hit for more power, especially because he is looking like he might be a corner outfielder or even a second baseman.
