Sam Antonacci, 2B CHW (AFL)

Sometimes all you want is someone to spray singles around, and Antonnacci can do that. He rarely whiffs and makes a ton of contact. There is a lack of pop here that makes me wonder what his fantasy viability is, but there is a high floor here.

Four punchouts, by way of eleven swings and misses, is not a bad day. He is still pitching very much like a reliever, relying on the fastball and slider almost exclusively. He threw a single changeup in this one. I still think he is going to end up a reliever, and his pitch mix in the AFL hasn't changed my thoughts on this.

Just a casual two-homer day for the best or second-best prospect in all of baseball. No big deal. It will be interesting to see how the offseason plays out, but I would have to imagine McGonigle breaks camp with the Tigers, unless they make a move for a third baseman. Trying to project out what the Tigers are going to do this offseason is going to take years off my life.
