Friday night delivered fireworks across college baseball, with standout performances from every corner of the country as postseason pushes and draft stock movement began to intensify. One of the loudest nights came from Texas A&M’s Jace LaViolette, who launched three home runs across a doubleheader, reasserting himself as a top-five draft talent. Liam Doyle added another dominant start to his résumé with nine strikeouts over seven strong innings, while Anthony Eyanson carved through a tough lineup with 12 punchouts of his own. Meanwhile, Wehiwa Aloy and Justin Thomas Jr. helped power an offensive surge in Fayetteville, and mid-major arms like Trevor Hansen and Aidan Cremarosa continued to climb with lights-out outings. Whether it was dominant arms, breakout bats, or rebound performances, Friday served up another reminder that the college baseball landscape is heating up fast.

Winners of 9 of their last 10 and riding three straight SEC series victories, the Aggies are officially back, and a major reason why is the resurgence of Jace LaViolette. After a sluggish start to the season that had some prematurely dropping him down draft boards from other publications, LaViolette has flipped the script in dominant fashion. He’s now homered in four straight games, and on Friday’s doubleheader, he went full scorched earth, launching one in Game 1 and then going double-dong in Game 2 for three total bombs on the day. Even more impressive? The homers in this series have come off four legit arms: Foutch, Wood, Beidelschies, and Jimenez; all part of one of the best pitching staffs in the country. It’s safe to say the bat is heating up at the right time, and those reactionary draft board slides on other publications? Probably not aging too well as I still have him as a top 5 overall prospect in this draft.
