Sunday’s slate delivered across the board, with dominant arms and thunderous bats taking center stage as the regular season winds to a close.
Henry Ford’s two-homer, four-RBI day helped his squad complete a key sweep, while Andrew Williams fired a 108-pitch complete-game shutout in one of the weekend’s most efficient and timely outings.
Meanwhile, Aidan King dazzled with seven shutout innings and nine strikeouts, and freshman standout Chris Levonas continued to prove he’s one of the most polished underclassmen arms in the country.
Whether it was Cole Caruso's clutch late-inning insurance homer, Missouri’s shocking sweep led by Jackson Lovich, or Nick Monistere’s go-ahead bomb in a comeback win, Sunday was a statement day for players making noise heading into the final stretch.

Henry Ford, OF/1B, Virginia - 3 AB, 3 R, 3 H, 4 RBI, 2 HR, 1 BB, 0 K
This weekend was a statement series for Virginia, and one the selection committee shouldn’t ignore. Against a Miami team that was once the hottest in the ACC, the Cavaliers rose to the occasion and delivered a decisive three-game sweep to keep their postseason hopes alive.
Sunday’s series finale was headlined by the return to form of Henry Ford, who produced a monster day at the plate. The junior slugger went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, and four RBIs, reminding everyone why he’s still viewed as one of the more talented bats in this year’s draft class.
Ford wasted no time getting UVA on the board, launching a two-run shot to left-center in the first inning for an early 2–0 lead. He stayed hot in the fourth, yanking an RBI double down the left-field line to extend the Cavaliers' advantage to 7–0. After Miami mounted a rally in the top of the seventh, thus, Ford added crucial insurance with his second homer of the day, a solo blast to left field, capping off his double-dong performance.
While Ford may not have fully lived up to the lofty preseason expectations, he's still shown the offensive upside that makes him a strong candidate to go in the 2nd–3rd round range. With a Top 100 selection well within reach, his recent production is helping to rebuild his draft stock at just the right time.
Entering the final midweek game, Ford is slashing .368/.422/.568 with 9 home runs, 39 RBIs, and 40 runs scored. If Virginia’s bats stay hot and the Cavs sneak into the postseason, Ford could be a major reason why, and a name to watch closely in June.
Daniel Cuvet, 3B, Miami - 5 AB, 1 R, 3 H, 4 RBI, 1 HR, 0 BB, 1 K
It wasn’t the outcome the Hurricanes or Daniel Cuvet were hoping for this weekend, but the sophomore slugger continues to shine at the plate and solidify his status as a rising name to watch in the 2026 MLB Draft class. In Sunday’s contest, Cuvet delivered yet another monster performance, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs and his 15th home run of the season.
Though he started the game quietly, Cuvet came alive in the later innings. In the seventh, he crushed a three-run homer to right-center field, cutting the deficit and breathing life back into Miami’s offense. Still battling in the ninth, Cuvet drove in another run with an RBI single to right, continuing to claw for the Hurricanes, but the late push ultimately wasn’t enough.
Even in a tough weekend series, Cuvet’s bat continues to trend upward, and with performances like this, he’s making a strong case to be one of the premier power bats in the ACC heading into 2026.
