Soderstrom has now hit 3 HR in his last two games and his 6 HR on the season is tied with Aaron Judge for the league lead. Also, his 2nd double dong of the season! These two came off of Michael King and Jeremiah Estrada. Other pitchers he’s taken deep: Chase Dollander, Bryan Woo, Trent Thornton and Logan Gilbert. If I were to guess, that list of pitchers is the most impressive in the league. When combining Soderstrom’s early season performance with his partial season in 2024, he’s up to .260/.336/.506 slash with 15 HR over 259 PA and a 141 wRC+. I’m not crowning Soderstrom a star after 11 games, but it’s impossible not to come away impressed with this kid.
