The Guardians had found out during the eighth inning of their game against the Rangers that Detroit had lost and the AL Central was theirs. They still decided to break the tie and take it outright anyway. In the eighth inning, Rocchio roped a line drive 105 mph, but it went right to Billy McKinney. Bo Naylor was able to tag and score, tying the game 5-5. In extras, a Rowdy Tellez 3-run home run seemingly put this one away, but if you've watched this Guardians team this month, you know it's never over. After a Bo Naylor double and Petey Halpin walk, Rocchio came up and delivered a walk-off 3-run blast off the right field foul pole, eerily reminiscent of a certain shortstop's grand slam in the 2017 ALDS. There is magic overflowing out of Progressive Field right now.
