Dynasty Closer Hierarchy Update #2: Now in the App Suite
The newest update of the closer hierarchy is here with new names! A new app has also been deployed so you can easily search, see, and filter your future closers!
The closer hierarchy has grown wings and is now flying, with an incredible new app that we've coded for you guys to easily see each team's hierarchy, along with great search tools that help you with your dynasty teams.
I would strongly recommend using our Role ETA filter to try and best match your dynasty teams timeline. If you're rebuilding, now is a great time to get in on some minor league relievers, or young MLB ones that aren't in leverage roles yet.
In the last update, I talked to you guys about names like Douglas Orellana, Evan Reifert, Saul Teran, and Randy Rodriguez. All four of those guys have continued to excel in their roles, with many of them earning boosts in this new update.
While I stressed this in my last update, I have to mention how good Randy Rodriguez has been. He collected his first save in the last week and is also one step closer to the closing role in San Francisco, with Camilo Doval replacing Ryan Walker at the end of games. If we know anything about Doval, we know how erratic he can be as a closer. I do not feel comfortable that Doval will remain with the Giants, nor do I feel comfortable that he will continue collecting saves for the rest of the year. Randy Rodriguez has outperformed Ryan Walker and even Doval all season, becoming a Stuff+ darling with the most impressive reliever statistics for a non-closer in the league. This is the last chance you will get to stash Rodriguez, who will be an elite closer in the coming years.
With that piece being said, let's take a look at the new faces on the hierarchy, along with guys that have moved tiers.
