While covering the Grapefruit League, Rhys is riding high off the Jacob Wilson homer. Nate is still somewhere in Oregon but is covering the Cactus League with a ferocity unknown to humankind.

Jackson Jobe, RHP DET (Grapefruit League) 3.2 IP, H, 2 BB, K 

What did you do on your Saturday night? I rewatched all of Jackson Jobe’s pitches from earlier today…I might need to get some friends. But anyway, Jackson Jobe only collected three whiffs on the evening, and that has seemed to cause people to get all up in arms about him, which is if that is something you wanna do, be my guest. The swings and misses will come; the stuff is too good. Hitters were making uncomfortable swings and getting sub-optimal contact against him. He is gonna be just fine. 

Carson Williams, SS TB (Grapefruit League) 2-for-2, 3B, R

In everyone's eyes, he is a top-10 prospect; if Carson Williams can be a 45-hitter, he has a chance to be an absolute star. Think like early Rockies Trevor Story if you want a fantasy comp for him. He is such a good defender at shortstop that even if the hit tool is slightly underbaked, he can carve out playing time because of that glove. He's come a long way since I saw him in high school when I preferred him as an arm. 

Mason Montgomery, LHP TB (Grapefruit League) IP, 2 K 

Montgomery will be nasty in a late-inning role for the Rays this year. There is a chance he can snake his way to a few saves and get plenty of holds, especially when he faces a very leftie-heavy lineup late in a game. The Rays' pitching coach was just on the broadcast that I was listening to, and he lumped Mason Montgomery in with Pete Fairbanks, so that makes me think Montgomery is in line for saves in some capacity.
