"The Cardinal Way" has sort of...well...lost its way. After building a reputation as yearly contenders in the NL Central, this team hasn't won a playoff series since 2019. After winning the division in 2022 and promptly exiting the Wild Card round, it's been a slide into various forms of mediocrity for this storied franchise. The team appears to be moving on from the Arenados, Goldschmidts, and Mikolas's - and with Chaim Bloom at the helm, there is some hope that their prospect identification and development will improve in the coming years.
