Starting with this article, I am going to start combining a couple of the mid majors together to try and get these out to you guys a bit quicker with draft day quickly approaching. We are going to be talking about the MAC and Big East conferences in this one and it features big time transfer portal movers, a potential two-way talent, and an All-American.

First up, we have Butler outfielder Jack Moroknek. Moroknek is a redshirt junior outfielder who’s played all his entire career at Butler. He has added a lot of visible strength to his 6’3” frame coming into this year and it has translated to the field. He has been one of the fastest risers in the draft cycle this year and that is thanks to him being able to cover the plate and hit for exit velocity north of 110 mph with ease. His bat path is built to hit the gaps and he lowered his whiff rate and limited strikeouts with improved barrel control as well. While he excels at turning on inside pitches, he can also go the other way, making him a very difficult hitter to get out in the zone. He does have a tendency to expand when pitchers elevate against him, but he will get a chance to prove himself next year against better pitching, as he’s set to transfer to Texas.
Moroknek has hit 31 homers, 30 doubles, and driven in 101 RBI in the last two seasons at Butler. He has posted OPS of .998+ each of the last two years and he was able to lower his strikeout rate in 2025 without sacrificing any power. Defensively, there isn’t much you’re buying as he is pretty much locked in left field. Not to be harsh, but the arm and athleticism isn’t really there to allow him to play anywhere else, but you’d be drafting the bat and hoping he can play serviceable enough defense. Moroknek was a second team all conference member in the Big East this year and, after performing well in the Northwoods League last summer, is set to be taken somewhere in early-to-mid Day 2 if he chooses to forgo his Texas Commitment.
