Smith has had back-to-back good outings. Is he turning a corner? Probably not; he is still too much of a two-pitch pitcher for my liking. I have serious concerns about him, especially if his strike-throwing waxes and wanes. But hey, back-to-back starts that look encouraging. He did collect 11 whiffs in this one, but he left a fastball over the plate to Brandon Winokour, and that was blasted out.

Raudi Rodriguez, CF LAA (AFL)

Let's get Raudi. Raudi Rodriguez is someone I am very familiar with, after watching him in about 15-20 of his games in person. Raudi is having a great time in the AFL and may be a top 15 Angels prospect. He hits the ball hard, has some speed, and can just out-athlete his way into production. He isn't a good defender, and I am confused as to why he is playing center, but it is what it is.

Esmerlyn Valdez, RF PIT (AFL)

2-for-5, R, RBI

He didn't hit a homer? Time to drop him down the ranking. I also just filed Valdez's report, and I gave him 70 power. I think he is a nice second-division regular if he can make enough contact.

Charlie Condon, 1B COL (AFL)

5-for-6, 2B, 2 R

Charlie Condon, have yourself a day! He went 5 for 6 and hit a double. He is such a weird prospect to rank; I just have serious questions about him as a hitter, and then you toss in the first-base aspect of it all. Condon probably sees the majors in 2026, but I have no idea where to project him. The Rockies list is being assigned out right now, and I think I have to take his report, and I am interested to see what I discover watching him.
