Called Up:

  • Brandon Sproat, P (NYM): Following in the footsteps of fellow Mets rookies Nolan McLean and Jonah Tong, Sproat made his MLB debut this past Sunday. The former Florida Gator delivered a quality start against the Reds, going six innings and allowing three runs, striking out seven. He figures to stick in the rotation for at least another turn, while Kodai Senga continues recalibrating in Triple-A, and could be an interesting fantasy playoff streaming option while he remains in the majors.
  • Nick Raquet, P (STL): In something of a surprise move, Raquet got the call on Monday morning to replace the recently-optioned Andre Granillo on the Cardinals’ roster. The 29-year-old lefty dominated in Double-A to start the season (0.77 ERA) before coming back to earth in Triple-A (4.05 ERA), but nevertheless will now get his chance to earn an ongoing role for the big league club.
