Below, you will find a list of three prospects from the respective organization. Players that have already made their big-league debut will not be included on this list.

BREAKDOWN OF TIME ON ROSTER SCORES:

1 — September call-ups / guys that are likely to see less than 20-25 games on the roster

2 — 1/4 of the season (roughly 40 games on roster)

4 — 3/4 of the season (roughly 120 games on roster)

5 — Full season on the MLB roster

MILWAUKEE BREWERS

Position — Name (Time on Roster Score)

LHP — Ethan Small (2)

The Brewer’s 2019 first round pick has already answered most of the questions from his 2017 Tommy John surgery and could be poised to get a chance late this year with the big league club if he continues to succeed in the minor leagues. Small has a good three-pitch mix and strong command which give him a solid chance at becoming a major league starter. However, the Brewers could be creative and use him to give them another southpaw in the bullpen initially.

C — Mario Feliciano (1)

Feliciano is an exciting power bat who still has growing to do in order to give confidence that he’ll stick behind the dish. The Brewers actually have a lot of depth at catcher right now and Feliciano has missed time from injuries so if he does get a chance, it will likely be in September after he’s had time to continue development in the minors for the bulk of the year.

OF — Corey Ray (3)

At 26 years old, Ray is getting to the point in his career where the player you see is most likely the player you will get. This means a left-handed power bat with good speed but also a ton of strikeouts. The former first-round pick is likely to be given his chance this year to show what he can do at the games highest level. Furthermore, as a solid runner, Ray can actually hold his own in center field so there remains plenty of reason to watch for a potential promotion.

NOTABLE

Two pitchers that are a part of the Brew Crew’s 40-man who have yet to make their big league debut are righties, Alec Bettinger and Dylan File. Otherwise, Aaron Ashby is a lefty that possesses exciting stuff who could be a name to follow if the club elects to fast track him to a bullpen role.
