Before jumping into our Top 100, let's thank everyone who contributed a report during this offseason. Rhys White and Matt Thompson played a significant role in compiling this report, but it wouldn't have been possible without the valuable contributions of Adam Kiel, Brian Recca, Cameron Emamian (now with Mariners), Chris O’Day, Dylan Drummey, Grant Carver, Greg Hoogkamp, Harris Yudin, Jake Kerns, Jeff Ellis, Justin Lada, Michael Factor (now with Cardinals), Tyler Jennings, Tyler Paddor, and Will Hoefer.
As a collective effort, we designated three players as 70 Overall Future Potential (OFP) players, while 21 players earned a 60 OFP rating. Additionally, we collectively determined that 32 prospects deserve a 55 OFP, with the remaining 44 prospects on the Top 100 being classified as 50 OFP.
These figures mark a decrease from the previous year's Top 100, and there is a noticeable decline in pitching prospects that typically populate such lists. Major League teams are rapidly advancing pitching prospects, driven by the escalating demand for pitchers in their cost-controlled years. Simultaneously, the demand for cost-controlled pitchers is high, alongside increasing injury rates among pitchers. A prevailing trend among teams is prioritizing the quality of innings over quantity, particularly in starting pitchers and also contributes to the caliber of arms in the minors being down. This shift has led to a greater need for prospects ready for Major League action and a reduced emphasis on keeping them in the minors. Additionally, the tacked-ball debacle in Double-A’s Southern League resulted in teams steering pitching prospects clear of that league.
Rhys White and Matt Thompson submitted individual Top 100 lists, which were combined with some adjustments to create the list presented here. The entire team had an opportunity to provide input, shaping the final version of this list. While we usually maintain consistency in OFP and team rankings, one notable change was made between two Guardians prospects. After thorough consideration, we opted to rank Chase DeLauter above Kyle Manzardo due to DeLauter's higher upside. We will revisit and update this ranking early in the season.

The 100 reports will be in a PDF you can download. During the season we provide the 55-tier with MiLB daily notes where we cover standout performances from the previous day’s slate of games.
