What is a Major League Equivalent (MLE)? Baseball sabermetrics legend Bill James said that the MLE was the most important concept he ever came up with. An MLE takes statistics from outside of Major League Baseball and adjusts them so that they can be used in a similar way that one would use MLB statistics.
