Live Looks: Playing Catchup with the ACC

Well, life happens, right?

I’ve been boarded up with a ton of school in recent weeks and it’s been tough to find time to write up reports and clip together film for these. With that said, it’s still a goal to post these reports and film for readers, so while it’s late, you still get to enjoy it! This edition features players from the Duke/Clemson series and the UNC/Georgia Tech series that I scouted in middle/late March. The UVA bats and players from the Texas A&M/South Carolina series will be posted at a later date, hopefully as soon as possible.

The 2023 Georgia Area Draft Guide: Part Two

The 2023 Georgia Area Draft Guide: Part Two

At the end of 2022, I made a primary goal for the 2023 season—create a preseason follow list and use it to develop an area report. In this case, the report would be about the state of Georgia. After a lot of miles and even more work, I was able to meet my goal. As always, enjoy!

2023 MLB Draft: Top 400 Prospects - May Update

2023 MLB Draft: Top 400 Prospects - May Update

We’re back with a May update! The top 50 was a task to rank given the amount of talent in this range. It’s a deep class, especially on the college side. Dylan Crews still leads the way, and while Paul Skenes remains at #2, Wyatt Langford is putting together a solid case to move into that spot.

In this edition, we have some power pitching from Wake Forest, a couple of high contact college bats with varying degrees of game power, and the first high school prospect covered outside of the state of Georgia.

2023 MLB Draft Preview: Georgia

2023 MLB Draft Preview: Georgia

As the sun sets on 2022 and we look forward to 2023, it’s time to provide an amuse-bouche to the spring ahead. Georgia has always been blessed with amateur talent on a yearly basis, and 2022 might have been the most top-loaded group in the state’s history, with four players selected in the first 15 picks of the draft. Conversely, 2023 lacks that firepower at the top, but has quite a few talents that could play their way into the first round conversation this spring. Those players, and more, will be highlighted in this pre-season top ten.

East Coast Pro Notebook #3: Padres and Athletics

East Coast Pro Notebook #3: Padres and Athletics

During the first week of August, I headed west on I-20 to cover the East Coast Pro Showcase in Hoover, Alabama. The following is the last of three sets of notes from that event, with this one covering the Padres (Georgia) and Athletics (Mid-Atlantic) squads that competed all week at the Hoover Met. Enjoy!
